Andrew Gardiner

Candidate for the

Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung

My name is Andrew Gardiner, from the Terrick family line of the Wurundjeri clans of the Woi-wurrung people and Bunjil is our Creator Spirit.

I was elected to the Reserved Seat for Wurundjeri in 2019 and contributed my utmost to the betterment of my Traditional Owner group and to the Aboriginal community generally in advancing Treaty.

I was involved in engaging Elders from across Victoria to participate in the Elders’ Voice, and my priority will be to ensure our Elders are engaged and properly supported to provide cultural oversight to the work of the Assembly 2.0.

As we move to Statewide Treaty and then local Traditional Owner groups Treaty negotiations, 3 years experience will be necessary to make sure no-one is left behind.
